On January 11th we finally got to Darwin, Australia and made our way to the hostel. As we were heading inside I spotted the Crocosaurus Cove right across the street of our hostel and got curious about all the huge crocodile pictures outside so I decided, I’d look it up in the internet later that day.
Half an hour later, checked in and connected to the wifi, I found the website croccove.com.
I was impressed by the videos, photos and attractions listed on there and thought, it’d be a great idea for Rapha (Tarzan) to hop into the Death Cage and swim with a crocodile! So I made it a challenge.
The Death Cage is a huge glass tube you get into. You get your goggles and climb down the ladder. The staff then closes the tube and lowers it down into the pool, until the water reaches your chest. Then you put on the goggles and get underwater to look for the crocodile.
I found that quite overwhelming so I said to myself: “Yep, great first dare for Tarzan“
I told him about what is going to be coming towards him and obviously he was right into it.
The next day we went over there and sooner than later, after holding a baby crocodile and seeing the crocodiles being fed, Tarzan hopped into the Death Cage.
Watch him swim with Wendall, the 108 year old, huge crocodile, watch how he keeps an eye on Tarzan, who he very much would have loved to take a bite of.
Be a part of Tarzan’s very first challenge.
Yours,
Tarzan and Jane
